It was a joy and a privilege to read for an audience at Maria’s Bookshop in Durango, Colorado in October 2018!
There was a nice crowd with attendees of all ages! The staff at Maria’s is wonderful to work with, and they are so supportive to local artists.
Additionally, before the book reading, I was invited to participate in a radio show with Zach Hively with the 4 Corner’s Art Forum on KDUR! You can find an archive of the interview by clicking this link: bucketofwonders.com/the-mango-tree/
Every summer, Bayfield, Colorado hosts monthly community Block Parties. These events are city gatherings with live local music, food vendors, activities for kids, and a Farmer’s Market! The entire town comes out to celebrate the thrill of summer with each other.
Pictured here, Brooke hosts a booth promoting The Mango Tree and Brinley Discovers Santa at the annual Bayfield Block Parties!
October 1, 2018, Brooke participated in the very first Scholastic SPRUCE Spectacular! Silver Spruce (link below) is a local (to Brooke) Homeschool organization. Brooke had a lovely time creating the My Mango Tree crafts with kids, sharing mango treats, and she had a chance to read The Mango Tree to the kids!
Brooke was joined by friends, colleagues, and fans during the Brinley Discovers Santa book signing event at the Durango Coffee Company (now Durango Roasters) in Durango, Colorado (link below).
July 2018, Brooke visited Maggie’s Bookstore in Montrose (link below), Colorado. She was joined by a fun and festive crowd of all ages! Here she’s painting children’s hands to create the roots of their very own Mango Tree; a craft presented by Brooke at some of her author events.
This event was a lot of fun to participate with. Maggie’s is a relatively new bookstore in Montrose, Colorado, and Brooke was honored to present her book, The Mango Tree to their welcoming crowd of all ages.
